Recently, they've had some Peter Pan connections. The island, the Black Rock pirate ship, the teddy bear an "Other" was carting. Not sure how those factor in, but I hope they're just coincedences.

Here's a question for you rabid TiVo'ers: last season, when Boone believed he saw Shannon "die"...were her wounds the same as the "gunshot" wounds she suffered last night? That'd open up some precognitive ideas about the island's "magic".

Ana had 1 bullet left in the gun, there was only 1 gun shot heard, and i believe the top of the gun/cocking mechanism thingy was pulled back indicating an empty gun.

Judging by some of the screencaps I've seen of Shannon's wound, it looked like a gash or a cut, not a gunshot. Ana definitely fired her gun... but maybe she didn't hit Shannon? Maybe she shot at an "other", missed, yet the "other" speared/knifed Shannon?

Well, after tonight's episode I suppose this doesn't matter, but I just read an interview with the co-creator and one of the writers and they said Shannon was shot and is gone (although did not rule out coming back as ghost or in flashbacks).

Also, in same interview, the co-creator Damon (not sure on spelling of last name) said that they will probably never come clean on what the deal is with the numbers. So I am guessing that that is there puesdo-McGuffin. Although if you are never going to come clean on it, why spend some time showing them all the time.

It's Wednesday Night-- Are You LOST?

I was completely swerved by last night's Nathan and Goodwin thing. When Goodwin came running out of the jungle in the opening, I thought "hmm, this is peculiar".... then kicked myself for forgetting about that fact, later on.

For a second, I thought that maybe both of them were "Others", but that idea doesn't hold much weight. Maybe Nathan's 2-hour disappearance could be a plot hole back door, for later in the series.

I liked how Bernard's radio picked up Boone's message (from season one, in the plane...right before he fell). Us comic geeks love continuity.

The Goodwin character was a good piece of deception. I kept in mind what they had said about Goodwin in an earlier episode, which sounded like he had been murdered by the others. As it turns out, they were talking about what he had done to the survivors, but worded it in such an ambiguous way that it left a different impression to throw you off in this episode.

The same interview that talked about not revealing the numbers said that we should pay particular attention to Mr. Eko's stick, that it had important implications.
