OR, it would be very interesting if when Kate said he would be wondering, could it be: Jacob.

Anyone else think the coffin looked too small for a grownup?

Paul,I checked my tape again to determine the size of the coffin and, well,it's still a tough call. Shown from overhead,it definitely looked a bit short, but from all other shots it seemed to be able to easily accomodate an average adult male. Serendipitously,I saw just a few minutes later on The McGlaughlin Group coverage of the funeral of Jerry Falwell. In one shot his casket actually looked a little small and we all know, whatever our opinions of him,he wasn't any lightweight! I'm thinking that the framing of the tv screen itself made the casket appear somewhat squat in straight-on shots, but I'm open to being wrong on this. If the newspaper clipping is not a case of intentional misdirection, one thing's clear, there's a boatload of story between the survivors' 'rescue' and the events of the flash forward.

Quinn, I too felt the coffin's size seemed to "shift" with the angle. There was just one where it seemed child sized but, I watched on rabbitt ears with a good deal of snow so ...
There was no way I was going to see what Grass points out in the clipping. I quess "The body of J..." could be Jacob. Personally, I'm not convinced Jacob exists outside of Ben. When Jacob "spoke" Ben was off screen.
There's only two things we know for sure. We don't know squat about anything and everyone's a pathological liar.
The only two characters I trust are Vincent and Aaron and Aaron only as far as he can throw me, shifty eyed little bastage.

Yeah, dogs are better than people. I wonder how The Island appears to Vincent? He always seems to be smiling anyway.

Speaking of smiling, do we have any HD viewers? I'd like to see a quality screencap of Ben's face as Jack contacted the freighter. I’m on rabbit ears but, Ben looked like he was smiling to me.

Paranoiac conspiracy nonsense apropos of nothing. “Charlie's dead,” is slang for, your slip is showing. Your slip is showing, is slang for making a mistake or screwing up. http://www.peevish.co.uk/slang/c.htm Exclam. A euphemistic warning for your petticoat or slip is showing. An expression rapidly becoming obsolete with the changing of fashion away from wearing such items.

You're probably right on the first part, the second part, about Jim, was just mean Nobody deserves that.
