I'm not sure I'm remembering correctly myself, but it also seemed to me that Rachel knew she wasn't going to survive. Didn't she protest, when Dent assured her it would be alright, that "no, it won't be," as if she knew something he didn't? I suppose it doesn't particularly matter, just was thinking back to that scene.

I'm fairly certain that Rachel assumed Batman was coming for her, so she attempted to console Harvey by saying she was willing to marry him.

So I don't have to read your posts about this stuff.

Stick to the topic, D.

She knows he's the obsessive type, so I'm not sure why her letter would lead her to believe Batman wouldn't choose to rescue her over the guy she's going to marry. Maybe I'm reading into it, but she sounded surprised when Harvey cried out, "Not me, don't rescue me!"

Maybe I'm missing something, you're losing me. She told Dent she was going to marry him and her answer was Yes. In her letter to Bruce, she said the same thing, right? (That she was going to marry Dent.) Alfred then burning the letter to spare Wayne the pain of knowing the truth, because he was under a different impression. I took what she said to Wayne in person as the only dishonest consolation. I guess I've got it all wrong. I suppose I'd need to see it again, I can't remember some of the details now.

Yeah. Took you long enough, though.

Hey Dumas, what did you think?

Like I said earlier on this thread, my weird problem with The Dark Knight is that I liked all the other characters more than I liked Batman.

Heath Ledger played my all-time favorite version of the Joker, but I don't know how much morbid thoughts about his death factored into my enjoyment.

I got really, really tired of waiting for them to finally get around to turning Harvey Dent into Two-Face. All the heavy handed dialogue about the "face of Gotham" got on my nerves pretty quickly.

As far as the action scenes with Batman went, there were some cool crashes and stuff... but the only ones I found totally satisfying were that part toward the beginning where he got attacked by the dogs and the fight against the SWAT team.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the ending.
