I just picked up the 4th Avengers volume and am hooked on the stories. I am too young to have reasd these stories, so all but the Kree/Skrull war feels new. I read the first 8 issues before taking a break. Great stuff that holds up well.

Iron Fist hit the street this week. I cannot wait to read Claremont/Byrne stuff that is all new to me.

It's pretty good. Both became much more technically proficient in later years, but there's a youthful energy in those stories that's pretty charming.

The highlight of the stories reprinted*, for me, is the initial Thomas/Kane/Giordano story, though.

*I have the comics, but not the ESSENTIAL.

I also got the Avengers Essentials #4. Sadly, I've already read the first story with Growing Man and the Black Knight and I bought the Kree/Skrull trade not too long ago.

I know there is more in there than that and I've read some of it, but still working my way through it.

I'd love to see some of the "Monster" titles that have long since vanished (& most would fit in a single volume or 2):

WEREWOLF BY NIGHT
MONSTER OF FRANKENSTEIN
SUPERNATURAL THRILLERS
GODZILLA
& any/all of the 1970'S Marvel Horror Magazines:
TALES OF THE ZOMBIE, DRACULA LIVES!, VAMPIRE TALES, HAUNT OF HORROR & MONSTERS UNLEASHED!

MOON KNIGHT
ROM, SPACEKNIGHT
MICRONAUTS
would be cool as well.

For April Fools day I would like to see "Not Brand Echh!" That series still cracks me up!!!

Others would be:

Warlock
Guardians of The Galaxy (the Marvel Presents stuff was fantastic).
The Inhumans
Hero For Hire
Invaders

and my favorite:

A combined volume with cult characters:

Night Nurse, Claws of the Cat, Tigra etc. Come on everyone wants to read Night Nurse. If you say no you are either lying to the world or to yourself.

I think Defenders is listed on Amazon. Don't know if you already knew about that -- or even if it's out already. Don't get to shops very often.

edited oops, that one was laready listed above. sorry.
