Watchmen was written as one story, but formated and paced for serialization.
Dickins work could be the same.

Jack,

The point is, A Tale of Two Cities (for example) is a novel, regardless that it was originally published periodically. So why do you say graphic novels need to be originally published as a single story to be considered as GNs?

Was it Harlan Ellison who went nuts at Fantagraphics over an article by Christopher Priest in one of their publications or something?

Mine changes depending on the day of the week or what mood I'm in, right now I'm trying to get friends into some DC stuff. I always use Morrison and Porter's first JLA arc, since it's easy to get into, all familiar heroes, and cheap if they want to buy it. Unless they want the hardcover. That raises the price somewhat.

I'm also handing out the New Frontier quite a bit, as it's a nice history lesson through the DCU, and give nice little moments to everyone, with a focus on Lantern, Flash, and J'onn.

Oh, I almost forgot! John Byrne's She Hulk Graphic Novel. You gotta love the scene where the Hellicarrier crashes!

My favorite scene was when she was in the shower and there were suds and bubbles covering her boobies. AND if you look at it closely the way the bubbles are drawn around her boobies it looks like her aeroles
