As usual, Thompson goes off with great flair, with his usual personal attacks aimed at moi.

I just wonder how long Thompson will keep his "word"? Why the theatrical posturings?
Why did he not just leave and say nothing? He had to give a grand speech and many followed with their regrets and attacks upon him.

Actually, that thread belonged in the Gutters. So did many of his posts. Up here, we should at least make an attempt to be civil without belittling one another (I confess, there may have been times when I crossed the line above the gutters. I don't recall them, but it is possible), and I am not surprised that Thompson took another cheap shot at me before he left above the gutters. Typical.

Goodbye Mr. Thompson. No doubt I will see you here again in a short time. No doubt I will read your posts slamming me yadda, yadda..But until then....I accept your temporary "gift", until you "grace" us with your presence again.

I would tend to agree with Sam's view that there's more pose than panache in KT's farewell.
But I think I've got it over Sam in the realm of "cheap shots." Robert Young may have brought up the 1985 incident 'twixt me and KT on the TCJ board that got all this crap rolling, but I can't help but be amused that even in defending himself against RY,KT couldn't resist taking a cheap shot at me again in recounting the incident.

Hi, Sam...
Frankly, I think you're wasting too much of your precious time worrying over Kim Thompson. I'm also inclined to believe that this thread topic should have stayed in the gutters...regardlesss of whether he'd see it or not. Just my opinion, amigo.
Best,
RICK

Rick,

He posted his farewell up here, and slammed into me....so he gets answered here...
Thompson was always theatrical in his comments, which is why I never took him seriously or his "post." I am not fond of the grand gesture, and he has employed that strategy on more than one occasion...
