Best Advice anyone ever gave you: Do what you enjoy, not what will make you money. (boy, did I pick the right field for that!)
Homepage: www.kamishibaipress.com What inspired you to create Literary Graffiti?Short Answer: insanity. Long answer: It started out as an idea for a syndicated strip called "The Storyteller". Naturally all the syndicates rejected it, but on one of the rejection slips an editor wrote "would read better as a comic book". So I did.
What do you like the best about creating comics?hmmm ... how to word this without sounding like an egomaniac ... when total strangers come up to me at cons and honestly say that they enjoyed the book. It's a kick.
What comics are you currently reading and enjoying?Usagi Yojimbo, the Lone Wolf and Cub reprints, Vagabond (big fan of Eiji Yoshikawa's novel), Courtney Crumrin, Fred the Clown .. there are more, but those are the first one's that come to mind.
What - outside of comics - inspires you as a creator? That's hard to pin down. Usually it something that seems out of place with it's surroundings.
What other hobbies do you have? When I have the time? Mostly Gaming and collecting original comic art.
What wouldn't you do for a million dollars? That would have to be ... no, I'd probably do that .... Okay, I wouldn't ... no, I'd do that too ... um ... what was the question again?
What would your dream project be?It's a toss up between doing a story on Donal Cam O'Sullivan or Tain Bo Cuchulian. To do either story right would need at least 300+ pages. (in case you're wondering. Donal is an Irish hero, in a way he's their version of William Wallace. Cuchulain is a mythological warrior hero of Ireland)
