I still love these gems:
"...there is a war going on in the Middle East, and members of Hamas are soldiers in that war, and, therefore, it seems to me that they are going to be casualties if they are going to make war" September 2003 Howard Dean
Yep, those Hamas are sure soldiers. I am sure the many civilians who have been murdered in Israel look at them as soldiers too, eh? I don't recall the context of this quotation, but if you're trying to use it to demonstrate that Dean is anti-semitic, it doesn't do that. He's saying that if the members of Hamas make war, they will be casualties. Sounds like he's telling them that they better think twice before resorting to more violence. If you believe that you can declare a war on Terrorists, then, yeah, you're saying that Terrorists are soldiers in that war. Merely being a soldier does not grant legitimacy -- it's what the soldier is fighting for that's important. Is there any real evidence of anti-semitism on Dean's part? The other quote you cite is totally taken out of context. Yeah, he wants those votes, and so do the Republicans. He specifically wants those votes, because he wants them to realize that there are things more important than race they need to consider. If you don't like a candidate because you disagree with his views, that's one thing, but don't make things up to dislike, or let others make things up that you accept without question. --Scott Rowland

I haven't followed Drudge before this,so I'm not hip to whatever biases he may or may not have, but I do think this story makes the people commenting on the President's pronunciation look much worse than it makes the President look. It also makes Drudge look petty -- or at least lacking for material. --Scott

Normally Drudge would milk something like this for weeks. I agree with Cisco- I hope the Right screams about this ad nauseaum. The American people can watch them attacking a man mourning his brother over the behaviour of government officials he has no power over. Oh and as to the pissy little "" marks around my tag, I've given my name multiple times, my home page -link above- has it everywhere and I've never hid it. You're still the Troll King Samuel. As long as one can access the link from the one provided, it is still around. You said the link was gone. That was a lie.
And if you like it that well under the bridge, you certainly have my permission to stay there, "Korvac"

--Scott Rowland Scott, he said that Hamas were soldiers. Now, pray tell me how many battles do they fight against Israeli soldiers? Why do they indiscriminately go into Israel and kill themselves and innocent Israeli citizens? Is that an example of a soldier? I don't think so and I think Dean is under a very strong delusion if he thinks so. The Hamas are a terrorist organization. There are no soldiers there. Of course, if you think it is okay to kill Israelies/Jews, indiscrimately and not consider that anti-semitic, well, you know the drill...
Dean was the one who made the comment about the Confederate flag, and that made him a bullseye. He wants the vote of people who support the Klan, so that pretty much sums up what kind of man he is.

Sorry Sam, Hamas may be "terrorists" but they consider themselves "soldiers", and so does everyone else eho has even glimmered the story a little.
Or perhaps "jihad" eludes you. Whatever. Keep beating that drum, it might just make a rhythm soon enough.

Sam's right. Hamas are cowards, murderers and terrorists operating under the false rubric of "soldiers." Real soldiers obey international law regarding combat and civilians.

Why are you trying to start something with me, especially after Rick gave us the warning not to stir it up again? I have said I would discuss things in a civil way, but when you come here and insult me in such a manner, well, you know the drill...

I reject the comparison.
