No. Not "spin." I am good at facts.
The fact is that you do not dispute that Dean did call members of Hamas soldiers rather than terrorists(which they are), proves that the criticism is justified. How he approves or disapproves of Israel's handling of Hamas soldiers is not relevant.
No,
Sam, you are wrong. Your criticism is not justified. Your criticism is not criticism at all. It is, at best, "spin."
What Dean had to say about how Israel deals with Hamas is
quite relevant. Dean was speaking specifically about extra-judicial killings of Hamas members. Dean was not defining Hamas as conventional soldiers covered under Geneva Conventions. What Dean was saying was Hamas are NOT conventional soldiers, and they should expect to be treated as the terrorists you say they are. If they blow up a bus or whatever, they should expect to get blown up themselves. He was defending Israel's policies on that matter. What he said was the exact
opposite of what Republican supporters, other Democrat candidates and you,
Sam, are twisting his words to claim against him, and you know it, Sam.
And from this, you extrapolate that the man is an anti-Semite? For defending an Israeli policy? Truthfully, it's more than "spin." It's a lie,
Sam. You and many others are, in effect, lying about Dean.
Dean is the one who made the comment looking for those votes, not I which indicates to me that he is sympathetic to the KKK.
Not everyone who own the Confederate flag, a racist symbol, is a member of the KKK, obviously. Dean was merely saying he wanted to get the white southern vote, in a manner that stereotyped those Southern whites. That's where Dean's fault lies -- in stereotyping Southern whites -- not in supporting a racist institution, which he obviously does not.
His policies as governor of Vermont and his platform as a candidate, and indeed the policies of the Democrats as a whole for the last 37 years, run completely against the grain of what the Klan stands for. Indeed, the Democrats have paid a steep price for those anti-racist policies. It has cost them the South in every election since 1964, an area of the country that the Democrats used to own, practically. But, now, the Republicans own it. Why? Because those racist Democrats and their inheritors jumped ship, they became Republicans, and their racist policies have not really changed. I think you're smart enough,
Sam, to know all of this. Again, you are in effect lying.
As for Anti-Semite, I believe Hitler was one and some believe that he was Jewish, so what is your point?
What is your point,
Sam? What does Hitler and Hitler's genealogy have to do with Dr. Dean? Nothing.
Dean is married to a Jewish woman and has two Jewish children. You call him an anti-Semite, which is utterly preposterous. You know it.
I point this out to you, and you continue on with some bizarre analogy about Hitler and Dean, which has nothing to do with anything and is totally off topic.
Words have meaning,
Sam. They are not there to be twisted. If you twist them, people think ill of you. Do you want people to think badly about you? I didn't think ill of you before, now I do.
You are lying about the man, Dr. Dean. Now, you are attempting to twist my own words.
You are a slanderer. You are a liar,
Sam.
