It seems like a sensible solution to me. Too many of those threads were just targets for trolling and flame wars. Many of them were started for that purpose, I think. Oddly enough some of the polital threads interested me more than the comic stuff.

2004 is an election year, not only for Americans, but for Canadians as well. Wonder if we'll see any debate about the possiblity of a united right in the next election? Just a few more days till we know for sure if a Conservative party is born anew. I was half tempted to sign up as PC member to just vote against the merger.

I wonder if Canadian politics might overwhelm the minor politics of the United States on these boards.
