Kane by Paul Grist. Dancing Elephant press. I don't even like "police dramas" per se, but I like Kane. No wasted lines or drawing in Grist's pictures. Wonderfully stark and minimal.

Well hell, JAR, I'm reading it and so are enough other folks that it's reached #26. So who you calling "no one"? Kidding aside, I think the book is tremendously plotted and drawn, and I'd love a chance to read it more often. -Ed

Dammit, let's try this again---- Here's two-- NEXUS CASTLE WAITING, which I'm hoping comes back real soon.
I've gotten the first two trades of Kane, the first I've re-read recently. Good stuff. I will be ordering Jack Staff from Dancing Elephant, so I hoe I'll enjoy that too.

Jay Stephen's Land of Nod, published by Dark Horse was wonderful. I don't think a lot of people are hip to him...Josue Menjivar's little stories in Broken Fender are also worth searching for I think. Crude, electric coarseness runs through his little stories.

In comic books: all of them, since no one reads comic books.
Some of my favorite absolute obscurities are Gerald Jablonski's "Empty Skull Comics" and the late Paul Ollswang's work, both from FBI. I'm also fond of the work of Richard McGuire, who did about one thick comic's worth of work before leaving to do children's books.
In comic strips, actually read by people, I like P. Revess' alternative newspaper strip "Up All Night."

Electric Girl. A brilliant all-ages title.
Mr. Majestic. My favorite current superhero title.
Xeno's Arrow. Talented science fiction.
