If I were in the position of deciding whether to have someone's legs broken, drop him out of a high window, stick needles in his eyes, or impose Sam's friendship on him, it would be a tough choice, but I think I'd pick the last.

Another magazine friendly to comics is Fabula, a quarterly woman's magazine. I originally noticed it because one of the issues had a Phoebe Gloeckner cover. Inside were positive reviews for Gloeckner's A Child's Life and for Lawrence Marvit's Sparks. http://www.fabulamag.com/Volume3_Issue3.html

Slave Labor ran two full page ads as well, one for Sparks and general one that pushed Skeleton Key, Action Girl and Lenore. Based on the magazine content, those were great choices of comics to highlight in an ad.
