Howard, thanks for correcting my misunderstading. I just read this old post at tcj.com from Aug 25th:
"Howard-- My apologies! I have to be in Toronto in the morning but I promise to email you. Can you refresh my mind on what specifically you're interested in? I'll gladly readress the ORCA tax status thing for you or anybody here."
So, you've had the info for about a week - any estimate of when we'll all finally be able to see these questions answered? Personally, here's what I'm looking forward to:
1 -- seeing that one question answered, of whether or not donations to ORCA, not to the Salvation Army, but TO ORCA are tax deductible.
______
RICK:
"Donations to ORCA ARE TAX DEDUCTABLE! At present, all donations are being underwritten by the Salvation Army."
"You should be aware that I never claimed that ORCA was an accredited 501(C) corporation. All I stated was, 'That donations to ORCA were TAX DEDUCTABLE.'"
______
2 -- if that answer turns out to be no, to read a follow up about why no one, and it could have been anyone from the organization, came forward and simply corrected the error, for several weeks.
3 -- getting the mystery solved of why RICK offered, repeatedly, for anyone to email him for these answers and then this was NOT done, instead changing his tune, deciding to communicate through you via what he calls your "expose."
4 -- seeing if the story will go into detail about RICK on Comicon, and what some in the comics world (creators, journalists, etc.) have gone on record and given as their opinion of his representation of ORCA (Scott Shaw and Rick Veitch in particlular).
5 -- seeing if you'll be talking to other people who make up ORCA, and asking them about their 'take' on RICK, and all of this.
[edited a couple times, actually.]
