This thread scares me. Do people on the internet get off on impersonating others? Are they trying to live out different identities by switching user names?
I have to say that this is a pretty dark side of the net, some holes in the web. Legally undefined grey areas give you back the responibility for what youīre doing. Refrain from all this bullshit!!
I donīt get how people can be so hostile towards each other..
One thig is important : Written messages on can be interpreted very differently, often an implied meaning gets lost and other things that werenīt on the authors mind get filled in into the message.
So thereīs a lot of errors, a lot of falsely attributing motivations to people who had completely different motivations at the outset. And if you treat somebody wrong because of this she/he (notice the elegant swich in gender order) might start behaving differently because of your respoinses which msut seem strange to the author- a self fulfilling prophecy.
You might want to reread this last sentence (I could probably write it more clearly).
That and other shit. Reading this thread really gives me the chills. It has a David Lynch vibe running through it. If you canīt be sure of the others identity what do you have? Strangers, after all? Ghosts even..hehe
Joe Zabel should make a mystery comic out of this thread.

Mr.Olney just called me frantic about posting some stuff on another thread. Seems Rick Veitch caught up with him and knocked him off again. Can't say I'm not sympathetic...you people don't know him like a bunch of us do.
Anyway... RICK's asking me by telephone to post a question. so here goes: How long is the period and what are the conditions (if any) of being allowed back on Comicon?

It seems to me that this thread serves both an informational and cautionary interest. It's not doing any damage and it serves to explain to those coming in late just what has happened here on the board. I don't see how it would serve the greater good of the community at large to close this thread.
