Hum, a genetic mutation for the webshooters... eh, I can live with that. I remember seeing one of those Spidey cartoons back in the early 70's where he battled a female spider-villian whose webspinners were part of her body, shooting from the palms of her hands. Sounds like something like that.

Heh heh, t'would be pretty funny to see him having spinnerets where REAL spiders do, hee hee hee...

Well I hope they do a bang-up job. I think it's possible to do so with Spiderman; Peter's just a regular kid and lots of folks should identify with that. I wish them luck. After the X-Men movie, I think they've gotta go that one better -- which if they pull it off would be excellent.

I understand the need for the organic web-shooters, but damnit, why do they always have to change things. Why can't they just once keep a Marvel character true to his comic form. Oh well.

I should have known it would be Jeff figuring out that he would be shooting webs out his butt if it was more accurate.

Anybody know if they're using that gosh-awful Alex Ross-designed costume that's on the cover of Wizard this month? Geez, what an eyesore.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I have a hard time believing some Hollywood hack costume designer is going to improve on Steve Ditko. But I guess these guys have to justify their existence somehow.

I'm sure that if I hadn't mentioned it, someone else would have... maybe even you, Dan.

Well, everyone says it's not a hoax so...If you go over to the CHUD site or to Cinescape they are showing what they say will be the movie Spider-Man's costume. JE, you can stop holding your breath and stomping your feet

The costume looks like...the comic book. The only exception is the webbing design on it actually looks like thick webbing and the spider symbol is a little more stylized.

Oh yeah...
That is much worse than nipples and codpieces on the Batman costumes.

As far as the webshooters go...well, just remember that in the first Batman movies, it was the Joker that killed Bruce Wayne's parents.

I hate to say it, but I actually think that's a neat costume.

Looks like the old-school Ditko version to me, just with raised webbing and spider. Nothing out of place there; who knows, that may have been Ditko's intention from the get-go, just took too damn long to draw.
