Anyone go to this yesterday? He was signing at Barnes and Noble at Union Square.
I, of course, forgot it was happening at 6, and got there at 7.
That beautiful marathon line was there and i was dead last.
Didn't get the autograph because unlike the awesome siging last year at the world trade center, the union square store wants to close at 10 like always. (last year i think we finally left the store at 12:30 a.m). By 9 p.m he was only halfway done with the people who got there early enough to get a number. He hadn't even touched the latecomers non-number having line.
I had to vent my frustrations in a comic:
http://aaronfg.com/comics/me/07/index.html I guess long lines is one of the things you have to deal with when the author is so nice and sociable to everyone. Good trade off i guess............as long as you get there early.
