"Sighs"

Will you give it up? I like Clones a lot, you didn't. Okay?

Elayne, I think you saw the beginning of my creed as being serious. It wasn't. I was trying to light up the mood. If you were misled, I humbly apologize.

Yeah, I was joking there, Scout. Maybe I should have put a little winky face in there or something.

Oh, I'm very aware that I am hostile toward your lies and ignorant attacks.

Oh, look, more commands to people on how to express themselves! What a surprise, eh? Funny that you seem unable to live by your own advice.

Tips: if you don't want people to be angry about your lies and slurs, don't post lies and slurs.

(By the way, that word that you accused me of "throwing around"? It's in more of your messages than it is of mine. Really.)

You sound like you're a real blast at parties, Nat.

I can't spend all day on this "I know you are, but what am I" nonsense. If you're not going to even try to have an adult discussion, then why do you bother posting? This is exactly the kind of behaviour that makes people hate this board.

Good god. I don't EVER wanna be in the frame of mind i was last year.

Ever again.

I've spent all year trying to get as far away from that feeling.

Things aren't "back the way the were" here in NY at all. They're a helliva lot better than it was for that first month or two. Anyone else live here and know what i mean? That feeling on the street?

Bad memories.

Personally i think my being here last year when it happened has made me lean more toward the i don't want to be reminded again, type person.

I'd expect a lotta tributes an all that, and that's great. Doesn't mean i'm going to go anywhere near a tv tomorrow.

Though i will be catching Howard in the morning. He's planning on replaying some of the show from last year.

Funny how Howard Stern woke me up as usual, except to stop the show and say "turn on the tv! an airplane hit the WTC."

Never thought you'd catch some serious news while listening to THAT show...

Also funny how it didn;t take long for this thread to go down the tubes.

Already we've got name calling and stupid threats.

Nat and Scott, lighten up. Stop feeding on each other here, because none of you will have the last word...

we'll just have to go through 4 pages of it....

Uh, maybe you should get a head-start, if you're that worried.

I'd ask for one of yours, but that would be like asking a quadruple amputee for a piggyback ride.

Ah, another message of belittlement and attacks!

Scott, if you don't want people to notice when you're acting that way, don't act that way. Don't lie about me, insult me, and then lecture me on "adult conversation". If you post an opinion, don't be surprised if your opinion is disagreed with (and let's remember that you started your first post in this thread stating your disagreement to another post, and doing so in terms no deeper than quoting Home Improvement, and addressed the same point in further messages by continuing to insult it rather than address it).

"I disagree" is just fine. "I disagree because you're clearly an idiot" is unacceptable.

Here's what I wrote:

Quote:
Personally, I kind of like the memorials (at least the more tasteful ones) that are going on on TV this week. I think people should be reminded of how they felt that day, and not all the politicizing that's gone on since. Occasionally, I go back and read the thread that happened here starting that morning (it's called "Go Turn On the TV, Quick" or something similar). It's eerie to read everyone's initial gut reactions, and very different from the year's worth of political nonsense that followed (which the thread inevitably turns into).

Disagree? Fine. Let's move on.
