Trying desperately to drag this discussion back on to the topic it started with:

Yesterday morning the local station I listen to (WOGL, Philadelphia) was asking listeners to call in with suggestions for readings at 9-11 memorials. The usual stuff was brought up--the Declaration of Independence, the Gettysburg Address.

The lines were closed by the time I tried but here's the suggestion I was going to make:

"The Bill of Rights, in a probably vain attempt to remind John Ashcroft of what it is he's supposed to be defending."

Perish the thought! Why, they're just honest entrepreneurs! Cheap-ass American flags are only two for a dollar today on the corner of 7th Avenue and 35th Street! (The doorman for our building bought three with which to decorate the lobby!) Much cheaper than in Macy's across the street! Yes indeedy, they're only doing us a service!

Can we emphasize that over and over again please instead of dealing with all the media sound bites?

Hi,
And remember, without those flags on your car, the terrorist won't know they didn't win.

Thank you. I admire your sentence fragments.

Nah, not upset -- just amused.

Bold connotes emphasis, and an attempt to make clear to a reader of limited abilities the specifics of my point.

And those cheap-ass U.S. flags are almost certainly manufactured by little Chinese girls who work their fingers to the bone in what amounts to total slavery.

You need to learn how to write properly if you want any reader to understand what you are communicating.

It does seem you are struggling with your last sentence. Perhaps if you had used a verb after your 'and', you would have fared better.

You were angry, just admit it. You aren't writing well either.

Have a wonderful day!

I believe I've made myself clear, at least to most people; it's very difficult to "write down" sufficiently for some.
