Sure. Dave posted this, and a short time later Warren shut down the forum a few hours ahead of what he had originally planned, from the look of it:

I've been here for a year or so. I appreciated the board for getting me exposed to alot of work by people that I probably would of not noticed. And for that I am grateful.
But, I just wanted to say that what I didn't appreciate about the board is the elitism and hypocracy that the board can spread from time to time. Part of that is due to some of Warren's remarks that caused others to adopt similar ideas. Like the disdain that alot of people here have towards Superhero books, Marvel books even more so.
yeah, yeah, I know "Marvel is evil because they don't have creator owned deals and they support mainly superhero comics". But you know what? Though DC does have some creator owned comics, they do seem to support thier Superhero books more than thier non superhero books. So why the hate?
Me, personally I don't give a flying fuck if the book I am buying is Superhero or non superhero or if the book is creator owned or work for hire. That mindset does not register with me when I am buying a comic. The main thing about comics with me is wether or not if it is entertaining. I mean, I am buying a comic to be entertained, which is the main purpose comics have.
I mean, there are some great Superhero books as well as some really shitty ones, but on the flipside, there are great creator owned, non superhero books and there are some extremely shitty ones. But given the choice, I am going to go for the better written material, regardless of if it is work for hire or creator owned. I am not going to buy something I don't enjoy just to support something.
That is all that should matter really, but of course my thoughts will be dismissed by some of the others on the boards because I buy superhero books.
With the forum closing, I'll miss the exposure to others' works, But at the same time, I say good riddance to the piss poor attitude that dominates the board sometimes.
This has been my farewell. It was fun ......sometimes.

p.s.
as a parting note, I added Michael Doran's remarks in the FF thread because it has a similar view towards everything that I have.
>>I sincerely hope many people in this forum take a moment to seriously consider championing divesity in this markerplace and artform is a worthy pursuit in its own right and has NOTHING whatsoever to do with pissing on superheroes every chance one gets.
To choose to focus negative energy to disparage one thing in order to prop up another is IMHO juvenille and as narrow-mind as closing yourself off to anything but superheroes is. Its the opposite side of the same coin, NOT a broader way of thinking.
I'm 33 but I still remember high school well enough to know the shitheads that picked on people and pissed on anyone unlike them didn't do it because they WERE somehow superior, they did it because they needed to make themselves feel superior. They needed the validation as desperately as anyone else.
And I'm sorry, but that's IMHO the same thing that goes on in discussions like this.
Less superheroes = more diversity is an invalid equation. Diversity can and should be achieved by broadening the market, not by shrinking one part of it.
And again, sorry, but to piss all over anything you don't like and the people who do like in such condescending, dismissive fashion, is not only accomplishing absolutely nothing, it's a expression of naked insecurity.
