*cough cough*

Unless you mean go over to the Kingdom, cuz I definitely don't go there.

And why not? Steve Bissette's forum THE SWAMP (I invite everyone to click it and check it out - you'll like it, he's a good guy with thorough knowledge of the Horror Genre, among other things) is moderated by STEVE, Heidi. Gutter-stuff doesn't go on there, period. We keep the mudslinging out of there because we RESPECT and LIKE Steve, not because we're scared he'll boot us out if we disagree with him (or get on his bad side by mentioning some obscure piece of Pop Culture he doesn't happen to like). He doesn't call people 'cunts' - as a matter of fact, I've never seen him insult anyone. He treats everyone as equals, not toadish underlings. He never locks down threads he isn't interested in (and people are having fun on) with a Zeus Complex statement like 'God, I'm bored'. You should really come and see for yourself, if only just to lurk. Just don't go into The Gutters section and you'll be fine. Every other forum is civilized and orderly. The Gutters section isn't - and that's the way we like it there.

I extend a personal invitation to you, Heidi (and everyone else reading this) to the forum I co-moderate (along with geedis) - The Strip Doctor\'s Lounge - it's a forum for Photoshop tomfoolery, fan art, reworked comic strips (the proper term is 'Detournment'), and plain old goofy pictures. It's been a little inactive as of late, so we welcome any new Photoshop Fu artists. We don't kick anyone out, and the only time we've even locked down a thread was when someone posted a rambling thread about something that had nothing to do with Graphic manipulation (that's our only rule - either post a picture, or comment on one already posted; there are plenty of other areas to chitchat on - 99% of the time we're fairly lax on this rule, too). We only did that because we hadn't figured out how to move threads to other, more suitable places on the board yet.

A friend of yours - known as Cheese012 on these and other messboards - has his own forum, too, called Jam-A-Lam-A-Ding-Dong - it's an online Comics Jam Session. Web artists (or any other type) are welcome to join in and contribute to what's already there, or start your own storyline!

Here's the deal - I know not everyone was a fawning, drooling toady over at the WEF. But there WAS a very high Clinging Dingleberry ratio over there, and some of them had moderator hammers, and some of them attempted to be 'Ellis By Proxy'.

Anyway, it's an open invitation, Heidi.

I couldn't remain focused on the discussion itself for very long, as I was diverted by Warren's "spooky, brooding" sig-pic. I'm hoping it was some kind of in-joke or something? If not ... oh my. "Here is my profound visage ... EMERGING FROM THE DARKNESS!!! GASP!!!"

You're not the only one who was struck by that self-promotion decision ...

Hmm.
So just how many of you got gagged on the WEF?

Hmm. I was on the WEF for two and half years. Was never gagged. Never once stopped supporting super-hero comics, and disagreed with Warren all the time.

So most of this sounds like sour grapes.
We didn't get to say what we wanted so now we're pissing, moaning and crying about it.

How about posting a link to my banning? It just didn't happen. I never posted there.

Not me. Although now that you mention it, I'm curious.

Well I have been in contact with Ken and he has asked me to drop the matter. So I will.

On to an unrelated hypothetical situation:

If a family opened its home to some people who claimed they needed help, and then refused to pay rent but instead insisted on tring to pay the man of the house with three-way sex, is it really the fault of the family when thing end poorly? Jist askin'!

"Which is more of a "hivemind"? people who want their superhero comics just the way they like them

or

people who believe that the American comics industry can never grow again unless it expands beyond a single genre?"

Seriously Heidi, the man made a career in super-heroes. It would be like Jerry Seinfeld saying that comdey s*cks because he woke-up one day and realised that there was not enough good dramatic films.

Sh*t, the guy praticly reguvanised Super-heroes with The Authority and Planetary and suddenly he becomes the genre`s greatest enemmy. What`s his problem? All the American dollars he made on Excalibur were not enough?
