Another thing to remember is that England also had most of her military power in India at the time because it was much more profitable to steal from those Indians than our Indians. If it had been the full British armed forces against the U.S. then I think wed have a picture of the Queen on our dollars now instead of George.

Madget is right though, it wasnt America vs Britian, it was British vs British. This was as much as civil war as a revolution.

Instead of the Queen, we'd have a picture of our first president, Eugene Debs.

Nazi Germany was the first government to require handgun registration. Interesting...

Only if you're screenwriter for "Red Dawn".

Indeed. : )

The Native Americans really weren't overpowered though, on the whole. There were immeasurable numbers of them, many of them inhabiting cities larger than anything in Europe. Though British weapon technology was superior, firearms were pretty clumsy and difficult to use, and the Indians were vastly superior raw fighters, in most cases.

I forget the percentage, but by far, the vast majority of Indians were wiped out by European diseases which their immune systems were not equipped to deal with. If we hadn't brought a few unusual germs along with us on those dingy ships, it is almost certain the Indians would have kept the Europeans well under control.

It's not as if the U.S. hasn't used military action against its own people before.

When they finally came to take my subscription to American Rifleman away, there were no other customer service lines to take my call.

They make Brady ride in the chair because left alone he involuntarily goosesteps.
