... was "The Mighty THOR."

It will not be "Fantastic Four," as ads claim.

Besides, didn't Marvel lose the right to say there have been 500 issues of a "Fantastic Four" series when they ended the original series, and then they ended a second series? If we count those comics, do we count mini-series and other such comics?

That's a good idea. Everybody should go out and read a book. When they're done they should read another, and so on.

In the meantime, this is a forum devoted to comics, the business of comics, and issues relating to both. Matthew's point was not only on topic, it was a good point for people who care about such things, and a point made in the appropriate place.

Hope that helps. Now consider following your own advice.

Have a nice day.

I'd say no more than you lose the right to claim 500 issues of JIM when they changed the title to Thor!

Thought FF ended after #101, and the rest has just been one bizarre "Otherworlds"...

(Take that, Jemas!)

What other titles would be ahead of FF? Hulk? Captain America?

Um, sorry, dipshit. The fact you bothered to read the thread and have posted over 400 times on these boards alone loses you the right to make pithy little remarks.

So sorry for you.

Oh, I'm sorry... Remind me, when did they stop and renumber the series before 500?

Oh.

They didn't.

Got ya.

Buh-bye.

Thanks for the support, Shoegaze.

Apparently, Rich is one of those fellas that bitch about people posting on message boards while he... um... posts on message boards.

laugh

Oh, and this will surprize you: Rich frequents the Gutters. I read his response and I reasoned that he was one of the denizens of the troll realm, and a quick check showed me to be correct.

Apparently, Rich is too involved with Guttering to read a book, himself.

Rich, really, keep to the Gutters. The light ill suits you.

It doesn't matter if they re-numbered. If you count, there are 500 issues of Fantastic Four. Therefore, they are about to hit their 500th issue.
And if it was anything like Spider-Man, they kept the old number and the new number on the book.

Oh, and by your count, do the Zero and 1 million issues of Starman not count? Does that mean that by your count, there were only 80 issues, not 82? And so what if they kept the same numbering system? You still can't find 500 comics with "Journey Into Mystery" on the cover. I'll bet you could find at least 500 with Fantastic Four on the cover.

Hmm.. Oh, that's right. Marvel is the Antichrist, so whatever they do is wrong. Oh, well, then there's no reason to debate with you then. You're right. Hey, everybody, this guy's right! Let's erect a statue in his honor. Let's bow down and burn incense and slaughter children in his honor, because he is obviously superior to everyone else! Because no matter what we say, he's going to come up with some kind of witty retort to make us feel small. And of course all of his rejoinders will be original and creative. There's no way he would succumb to something so played out and sophomoric as:
"Oh.

They didn't.

Got ya.

Buh-bye."

Damn. You are like a light, a shining beacon on the edge of holiness that guides our sails of ignorance to your enlightened promised land. You, sir, are a man amongst men. You are my HERO!
