FF #500 will be the 500th issue of FF. Once again, show me Fantastic Four #417. Show me a Fantastic Four periodical that says in the small print Fantastic Four Number 417. You can not, it does not exist. There is no Fantastic Four #500 in our immediate future and it has as much validity for that number as Starman 1,000,000 Treasure Chest was consistent in their numbering, but I doubt you will find ANYONE who will identify a particular issue of TC as anything but volume and issue number. If you ask anyone about Treasure Chest #135, you are going to get a lot of funny looks, and people are going to question your intelligence and sanity. As for as I am concerned they can call it Fantastic Four #1000 if they wish to, it will still be Fantastic Four, volume 3, issue 71.

Actually, I just did the math and FF v.3 #71 will indeed be the same as v.1 #500 if Marvel had kept the numbering.

Someone go calculate the number All-Star Comics would be at today if it had not been cancelled in the 1940s and post that to the
/hype/"Like a Lighting Strike!" thread
thank you
P.S. Also calculate what numbering All-Star would be at today if it had not been cancelled in the late 1970s.

So, technically, your initial post was wrong. What you see here, and in the next post by Bill Hicks that I will respond to, is the last ditch defense by some losers to save face, namely Caslin and Hicks. My point was that "Fantastic Four" #500 was not Marvel's first "#500." I knew that it was "THOR/Journey Into Mystery," but honestly the actual title is a moot point, as it does nothing to negate my assertion. So sorry. You go cry now.

... Oh this is too much! Watching you guys run around like chickens without your heads in a last desperate attempt to try to not look foolish. Bill, when I say knock you for taking this matter too seriously, I am mocking you, my challenged friend. *You* and others have tried to insult me by saying I was wasting time to even bring the issue up, yet you and others continue to argue the matter with me. The irony is hilarious. You guys are such hypocrites. Understand, or do you need more instruction? But you're bigger losers, and sore ones at that! You and another already conceded that "THOR" was Marvel's first "#500." Take your ball and go home now. You have wounds to lick. You can't win every game, kiddo. You lost this one in spectacular fashion. Do you really want to keep reliving it?

FF #500 will be the 500th issue of FF. Um, no, hard headed thick one. Really, honestly, do I hafta post the picture again and again and again? "THOR" #500 reads "A Marvel First! 500th Issue!" "A Marvel First! 500th Issue!" "A Marvel First! 500TH issue!" Are you blind, as well as thick-headed, Bill? And it is the 500th issue in the volume of that series. It really, truly is. So, AGAIN, was Marvel lying then or now? Because Marvel was or is lying. It's that simple. I think it's obvious that they are lying now for marketing purposes, to dupe numbskulls like yourself into buying a gazillion copies. Honestly, as a retailer, I stand to make money from it, so perhaps I should be happy. But, silly me, I care about my customers being made fools of, or Marvel thinking they are fools, when they aren't. Bill, you already conceded. You lost. Nelson laughed at you. It's done. Stop embarrassing yourself.

My point has always been that there was another "500th" issue of a comic series before the upcoming "Fantastic Four" issue, and there was such a comic. Its' actual title is moot, as that does absolutely nothing to disprove my charge. My point is that Marvel is lying as a marketing gimmick. It clearly is. Bill and friends have had to concede this (How could they not?), so they now want to save face by trying to find something, however small, to grasp at for a tiny victory. They are lost, and have lost this one. Better they stop acting like fools before we go into a fourth page of watching them dance.
