Mine is frowning because, of all the choices available, 'sad' bothered me the least.

I wish there was a way to disable them without blocking all images.

The goofy smile doesn't bother me, because I'm such a !@#$%&*#!! positive person.

"And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day."

I prefer to think of my little smiley as battle-crying!

This is why I should never toggle on ignored posts:

Quote:
Jokergas: That never happened. The story is Dumy claims that on the DCMB JSA board Geoff Johns challenged him to a one on one debate. Mysteriously no one remembers this and the thread has vanished.

No. This is exactly what happened. Back when Geoff Johns still posted on the DC boards (before he stopped because they were "too negative" for him... meaning that people occasionally criticized his work), he invited me to talk to him about JSA at a con some day.

That's it.

I think he was just trying to be polite.

Other posters were all like, "Yeah. You should say this stuff to his face."

And I said, basically, that I wasn't going to go to a con just to tell Johns to his face that I think JSA sucks.

That's all there is to the story.

Jokergas, naturally, twisted this around a few different ways and tried to make it sound like was more like a challenge to a duel or something. And then he started saying that I did meet with him in person (which never happened). And that basically, I was still pissed off because it didn't go well for me.

I don't know if I've ever been in the same state as Geoff Johns. There was no face-to-face confrontation or anything even remotely close to that.

Johns just suggested that I should talk to him at a con some time. There is nothing more to the story.

Of course, about half the time Jokergas went around telling people that my version of the story never happened. Because the thread got deleted back in, like, 2002 and he couldn't find it.

But that never stopped him from spreading his completely unverified version of a conversation on a thread he can't remember at any point over the last six or seven years.

Also, about the Zod bullshit... it was a lot more than two threads. I should know because I was actually there. Jokergas has the memory of a goldfish and should never be trusted about anything that he can't provide a link for.

Actually, he gets stuff wrong about half the time even when he has a link. Never listen to Jokergas about anything other than old comics and baseball. He doesn't remember what he said last week, much less what I was doing a couple of months ago.

Whoever Redskulldust is, he and all the Earth: Beer 30 posters can kiss my ass. They're all stupid trolls.

My opinion:

Comicon members,

A question. If a person claims to get negative responses on every thread think about who may be causing it.

I haven't posted here for a very long time, but you are all being played by "dummy". At DCMB he lived to start crap. Consider that everyone he claims to have being trolls are still allowed to post at DCMB.

He was an uber-troll. This thread is stroking his ego, and 18 pages of affirming his actions based on getting one-sided one side of the story? Putting down people behnd their backs is just plain cowardly. Try a bit of research before you agree and also put others down by default.

Maybe a web archive site may turn up the whole story. Or blindly agree. Or don't as he is really making you an endless source of ridicule. Go ahead and flame me. Anonymous opinions don't even get a second glance, let alone hurt my feelings.

Maybe my post will bring out the real dumy. His sob stories are pathetic and childish. If they make you feel superior to other message boards it's just plain sad and it may be best not to venture into the real world.

Haha. You're obviously not very familiar with Dumas' interactions on this board. His memory of past events is, to put it politely, mercurial.

I do hope y'all keep dredging up stuff from the DC Boards. It's fascinating sideline reading.

Y'know, one of the reasons I never go to the DC Comics message boards is that I don't give a damn about the DC Comics message boards.

And yet ... here they are!

One need not be Christian to find entertaining theological debates about angels on the head of a pin.

Lawson,

I perfectly understand your opinion of DCMB. I've cut back to reading only the FC board there. I think the DCMB was Morrison's inspiration for using the Internet for spreading the Anti-Life Equation.

Although I don't post here, comicon was the first website I started on way back. I didn't mean to dis this MB. I was unaware that dumas's real rep was known.

My true feeling is that comparing comicon to DCMB is like comparing apples to horseshit. I should have realized that other posters here were actually playing dumy. Excuse my overreaction, I'll no longer bring it up. Anyone wanting to check out eb30.us will find out that posters there are not trolls and do not cater to trolls.

But d. should man up and say his bullshit to the people he complains about. Maybe he will after puberty sets in. laugh

Again, sorry to drag down the level of discussion.

Bill
