Fair enough, Hsalf. I apologize.

But still... The way you just called me a hypocrite was pretty dickish. I think you owe me an apology now.

And as for this:

Why don't you also point that out to Jokergas, Bearscout, Patchwork and Generalzod33? They do that shit all the time.

Bearscout claims to be a good Christian (you know... in spite of that whole gay BDSM thing he's into being forbidden repeatedly by the Bible) and he spent months lying about me to anybody who would listen.

If you don't believe me, I'm sure a lot of other people remember all the time he spent lying about me saying that I wished he would get AIDS and using that to try to turn people against me.

If all else fails, just ask Shyguy or Cookylamoo.

Some people just dont get your sense of humor. Guess it was no worse than the time you had wished that Jokergas got cancer. Oh thats right that was a joke, and you only said that half heartily and shouldnt be taken seriously.

Also regarding the EB30 members coming on here, YOU INVITED THEM DUMAS.

You're a good guy, Jon. I have issues with some of your friends, but I've always enjoyed your company.

I am, however, getting really, really tired of EB30 people registering here to tell me that I suck.

If y'all are really interested in these boards, great. But if you're just here to fight with me... Seriously, there are better things to do with your time.

Dumas,

I laughed...not at you...but at your at your comments, I understand you perspective.

Bearscout is MIA...miss him, but it's been months since he's made an appearance.

Jokergas on the other hand...on EB30, is not a troll.

I can't speak for him, but his conduct there has earned him the position of Moderator. What he does on other's sites, is his business.

I've grown to know Jokergas over the last year. His heart is always in the right place, but jab him, he'll jab you twice.

You two have a bitter rivalry going...this is as far as I want to get involved.

It seems the moment either of you is brought up to the other, the venom flows.

Take a step back, deep breath, we're all here because we love comics. Let's not generalize by association.

All these wonderful sites exist because we share a common passion. Revel in it, life is too short for petty bickering, and disagreements that are long forgotten...some lingering hatred...there for some reason you can't recall.

Opinionated minds will clash...destined to do so.

Take care,
Jon.

See... That's the thing. You hang out with a bunch of people who will be your best friend in the world... until you criticize a comic or a creator they like. Then, they totally overreact and the flaming and trolling starts.

I'm sure you guys all get along fine. You all like a lot of the same comics and creators, so there's not much potential for stupid conflicts to erupt.

But I think that it's a pretty safe bet that the first time anybody in your "troll free community" says Batman would lose in a "Vs." battle, then things will suddenly go to Defcon 3. People will start accusing each other of being haters just for the sake of getting attention. Somebody will post a bunch of maudlin bullshit about how criticizing Batman is the same as criticizing him. And then eight people who didn't have anything to do with it in the first place will start flaming the guy who thought that Adam Warlock could beat Batman for hurting that one dude's feelings.

Because that's how your friends act practically any time somebody disagrees with them on the DC boards.

Frankly, the DC boards would be a better place if some of your friends stopped posting there.

What I saw from the DC board is that alot of people there would get ass-hurt when you have criticisms for their favorite company, comic or writer. They'll keep bringing up the 10th age of magic, call you a hater, posting endless smokey robinson youtube videos, and other weird shit.

So I know what Dumas is talking about.

I just stopped posting over there and stayed with this board. Now after reading this, I will be staying away from this board as well.

Gerald... I'm sorry if this thread soured you on Comicon.

Please give the boards another chance. We need fresh blood around here. And there are plenty of other threads that haven't had much activity lately.

But yeah... Over on the DC boards, they have a funky definition of the word troll. Basically, you're only a troll if you don't like Geoff Johns and Dan DiDio. As long as you think those guys are awesome, nobody is supposed to complain about the obnoxious stuff you say and do to people you don't like.

As long as you're a Johns fan, you can act in a completely deplorable manner and you'll still have a ton of people talking about how awesome you are and taking your side against the people you troll regularly. And they'll say things like, "No. You're the troll because you bashed Infinite Crisis!"

Lawson would be considered a troll over on the DC boards because of his taste in comics. And Lawson is one of the nicest, least trollish people you'll meet around here.

Meanwhile, THE1stMAN is a total asshole to anybody who disagrees with his dumb theories, constantly grammar trolls people in the most annoying way possible (which makes it funny when he's wrong) and posts those irritating music video links and stuff. And yet somehow he has fans over on the DC boards who respect his opinions a lot basically just because he likes the right comics.

It's a really weird, really annoying group think mentality and they're all hypocritical about it and in total denial.

I admit that I started this thread just to vent. But this forum isn't usually like this thread. I wouldn't blame you for ignoring this one, but there are plenty of others that may appeal to you.
