No one or everyone? The socialist viewpoint can't seem to keep its fantasy story together except in that we all be free from suffering even if it means giving up everything else.

btw who needs SciFi stories about the Borg when the real world has Swedes.

Meanwhile in the real world and on topic rather than more ad hominem ranting by MB

http://www.cqpolitics.com/cq-assets/eap/static/dem-revolt1.html

Old news perhaps but good news. -

"My job is not to be a rubber stamp for the president or Democratic leadership, but to be a voice for the people that elected me," Giffords said. "I voted for the stimulus, but found I could not vote for the omnibus." She faces a tough 2010 campaign in a state that will be dominated by McCain's expected re-election to his Senate seat.

For his part, Matheson echoed Giffords' concerns about an increase of $31 billion, or 8 percent, in discretionary spending in the nine bills contained in the omnibus measure. Like Giffords, he also has raised concerns about the mortgage bankruptcy bill, which many banks oppose.

"A lot needs to be done to help people keep their homes. But I'm just not sure about this bill," Giffords said.

Dude, you forfeit the right to even say the phrase "ad hominem" when you compare the Swedes to the Borg. Do you have a brain disorder that prevents you from hearing your own voice or reading anything you write or type? Again, it's like you're Helen Keller.

Oh please - forfeit? A society based on group-think collective egalitarianism of interchangable parts doen't sound like Sweden where a common surname is Borg?

While you are at it how about disallowing any discussions here about Spider-man and literary theory.

I think the whole voluntary and democratic aspect of what goes on in Sweden is kind of what renders the Borg analogy ad hominem. Seriously, whatever pill or shot you take to keep the insanity at bay...go get yourself one immediately.

Republican groupthink is better than Swedish groupthink.

The most common last name in the USA is Smith, so the USA are a nation of Agents Smiths.

I think X hatred of Swedes is because he couldn't assemble his Ikea bookshelf...

Or their money at least. And "foe?" Really? He considers ANY other American a foe? "Opponent," maybe, but "foe" is a bit over the line.

Were it not for the fact I've seen X rant like this often enough before, I'd assume he was just trolling. But boy, he puts the nut in wingnut.
I doubt he's ever been to the places he disparages as "socialist" distopias.
