How do you not go nuts, working long hours in studio, hopped up on Mountain Dew, without talking to anyone, except the dog or posting to places like this. My wife said I should go to the coffee place down the street when I'm getting buggy, but I don't like coffee. Or people. Especially the pretentious yuppies with artisté delusions drinking lattes and writing inane blog entires on their laptops.

Go to the book store instead...seriously...get inspired by all the books you can't afford, but artist's works you enjoy or craft and techniques you want to explore....ween 20 bucks for said book, get that burst of energy...don't actually use the book, forget about it...then go draw something...either that?

Or go start a garden.

Well, except for the wife part. And why is she not making suggestions that you should do the laundry, dust, clean the toilets, etc.?

Give me your wife's e-mail. I'll let her know that you don't have enough to do during the day.

Yeah, when I need to take a break I walk the dog or I've been working on the house, all sorts of stuff, I built a new gate, installed a fence, I'm making a whole wall of built-in book shelves in the living room and rebuilding a mantle.

But the problem isn't the inspiration man, it's just taking me a while to adjust to working by myself. I've worked in big room's full of other graphic artists for way too many years. When I first started working at home, I had an intern that would come over a few times a week. Now if I'm lucky, I have a client meeting once or twice a month. Or a visit to the vet. Beyond that trading crap with necro is pretty much the closest thing I have to a decent conversation...

Ah, an "intern." I'll share that wisdom with my married friends.

Wow. Are you and Ness having a "who's the saddest" contest?
