Oh, all right. I'll go again.

JB: Any chance you and Neal Adams might collaborate on something before it's too late for both of you? I'd love to see something like one book be your pencils and his inks and the next one could be his pencils your inks. Maybe this could be a suggested team up for the Xmen Forever project you want to do.

Mr. Byrne: IIRC, Neal Adams had posted on your board maybe 5 years ago to correct you and put you in your place regarding a comment you posted about him in a thread. I don't recall specifics, but I do know that from the tone of his posts, he was clearly not a fan of yours. How did that make you feel?

Yeah, there you go. Dream teams of all the old superstars. Byrne, Adams, Pιrez, Simonson, Chaykin, Wrightson, Kaluta, Weiss, etc. A new pairing of Byrne with Rudy Nebres in a print quality that won't turn it to mud would be great.

I generally depise analogies, but one just occurred to me: John Byrne is the Michael Jackson of comics artists.

At one time, everybody in the world loved him. Over the years, however, his appearance has changed — Jackson through plastic surgery and Byrne through his postings on the Internet — which has typically generated either disgust or pity for him.

Many believe Jackson molested children. Many believe Byrne molested Spider-Man and the Thomas/Adams era X-Men.

A lot of people are still fans of his older works, despite his more recent output and behavior. Some fans remain rabidly loyal and refuse to acknowledge any change in the quality of his output or questionable nature of his behavior.

Not getting into comparing his house to Neverland Ranch.

I can see why you despise analogies, if that's the best you can come up with.

No, I generally despise analogies because they're usually used to demonize one's political enemies. Comparisons to Nazi Germany and faulty mechanical issues, most often.

Fuck you, though.

No. What's "the daily cos?" Some Cosplay site? A site with pictures of naked boys reading Spawn?

A left-wing blog? Not sure how that relates.
