John Byrne's tears could cure cancer, it is too bad he has never cried.

When John Byrne stares at the Sun, the Sun goes blind.

Ahh! The ol' "Byrne isn't really an ass because he was only an ass those couple of times" excuse.

Maybe Byrne is curing a thousand cancer patients a day over at the JBF but he was still the guy who crapped on Fred's good time.

By the way...How come it's Poor Lars, but not Poor Fred? Poor Fred might feel there's some sort of favoritism going on, ya know?

And the Sun, while upset at first, then consoles itself with the thought that it will never again look at one of John Byrne's drawings of Joker-gassed women again.

Are you kidding? Ask him about how Jim Shooter wronged him. He's been crying over that for thirty years!

Wouldn't read it if I got it for free.

No, I don't think so. Not as a knock on Byrne of any kind, but because I no longer have an interest in reading about allegorical tales of how hard it is for teenagers to adapt to a world that isn't as fair as they thought/hoped it would and should be. Same reason that I don't bother with Teen Titans, New Mutants, X-Men (who I take it are no longer technically teenagers, but still...) Gen-X or any of that type of book.

I do hope, though, that it's quite successful and provides some measure of happiness or vindication for the Old Curmudgeon.

My tastes have changed a lot, but I want to see how it all ends, so I am looking forward to the book.
