Argh. You must not watch many horror movies then. The first was superior in every way.

They both sucked. At least the second one was funny.

They're fast when they're new, and they get slower as rigor mortis sets in.

It makes sense, except I'm fairly sure it does't match up with the time frames of any of the Sprinting Dead movies, unless there's a constant stream of people being zombified at all times like they're coming off an assembly line.

I didn't say all the other movies adhered to the "rule" established by HotD. That was just the one of the few zombie movies that tried to apply some reasoning to the zombies' physical capabilities. Can they climb stairs and ladders (Dawn of the Dead)? Can they drive cars (Return of the Living Dead III)? Etc.

The first one had Clint Howard. Automatic comedic victory.

Also, if you get a chance, read the liner notes in the DVD booklet for HotD-2. The director didn't make it as a comedy. He seriously believes he made a superior sequel like Aliens or The Wrath of Khan.

As far as I know, rigor is something dead bodies pass through like puberty. So, HotD zombies are fast, then slow, then fast again?

All the old Spanish conquistador zombies are slow. All the raver kids are fast. The one guy who led the zombies had something else that gave him more dexterity.

Conquistadors and ravers? How could any sequel ever be better than that?

Hilarious. I bet a great many of the directors of the movies that end up on the sci-fi channel, think they made great movies. Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus was the latest one I saw, oh lord was that a piece of crap. But the scene where the giant shark jumps out of the water to bite a commercial jet-liner, was priceless!

If you want Conquistadors you have to see, AZTEC REX! Hernan Cortez and a small band of conquistadors must battle not only a very low budget and scantily clad, and hostile band of Aztecs but also... Dinosaurs!
