I love the classics.

Good times. Good times. [/quote]

I'm not seeing the contradiction there either, Cici. The "years" in the first line looks plural to me. At worst it is just ambiguous, and could be either singular or plural, depending on whether the missing apostrophe went before or after the "s." Unclear grammar and punctuation is also an Ed trademark, though. So, yes, good times.

Peter, I see by this old post that you may have been confused between my earlier discussion with Cici where I stated that I had been doing the Mr. Ed Weirdo strip for many years. Indeed I had, since 1970.

However, those were done whenever I felt like it, and collected and xeroxed whenever I had gathered enough together to make a 32-page book. They were of course not done on a daily - or even weekly - basis way back then.

Another Cici vs. Ed debate point dealing with the term "years" referred to my claim that I could easily do one year's worth of MEW weekly strips. Later this claim was upped when a reader (not Cici) emailed me with a bet that I couldn't do a full year of them online, to which I replied that not only could I do a year, but why not raise the bet because I could double that amount to two years?

Those terms were agreed upon, I did the two years worth of weekly strips online, and therefore won the bet. The guy who had bet me ended up looking sheepish, and Cici ended up looking like an idiot, as usual. End of story.
