Peter's a Jew. He killed God.

I know I've stated this before, but I REALLY can't stand those cat noses Byrne gives his woman. I really can only see a cat head on the Superwoman drawing in this set:

The rest are acceptable in a stiff, "old school" sort of way.

Question for the board...

Is Byrne really a pseudo-intellectual poser or is he really this boring:

Here's a thread that may explain a lot:

Byrne explains that as a child he moved eleven times in eleven years. This may provide a basis for his poor inter-personal skills and inflated self-emphasis. At any rate, it does show that he appears to always have had a giant light bulb for a head.

I'm surprised we haven't seen a poster with the reply of:
"Just ordered my copy from Amazon." or "Just downloaded it to my kindle and can't wait to start it tonight, JB"

Q for JB and forum:
In the first scetch you did in this link, http://www.byrnerobotics.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=35605&PN=1&totPosts=31

It looks like Superwoman (I think that's who it is) had part of her left pointer finger amputated and a fingernail inserted to look like a regular finger. Is there a storyline that I"m not aware of that explains this? Customer request? Golden age? Silver Age?

Thanks!

OK I know Byrne religiously believes in looking after minutia he thinks should be respected and remembered, and believes that various aspects of comic books are shown little respect in the media, but I don't see this as being wrong or tight assed. Just his own thing.

I personally disagree with him, I don't care what others call things I like, because it shows deficits upon their part, and, frankly don't find much power in things others say about things I like. But the common person does. And I think if everyone thought of comics as shit, whether or not they were, the perception might be easy to accept more than the reality. Unfortunately, that is part of the culture of herd instincts, if it is popular, it is good, if the herd doesn't like it, it must be shit.

On the other hand, I think super heroes while fun are kind of silly when you think about it, and understand where media gets calling super heroes as wearing underwear or long johns.
