I had to do a double take when I went to his site out of habit. It's back up! At least the general discussion area

I was this close to taking him off my favorites bar across the top of my browser. He is sooooo lucky.

Well... if nobody else is going to say it...Happy B-day to the big man himself.

For my gift to him, any sketch he post's today, I will shower it with praise. Call it unconditional love for the remaining 3.5 hours left in this glorious day.

Ah, this is the old cranky Byrne that we know and love, Byrne getting nitpicky about a fun fan-animated Superman vs. Bizarro cartoon:

http://www.byrnerobotics.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=42151&PN=1&totPosts=21

and here's the cartoon he's talking about, "Bizarro Classic":

Although the animator Rob Pratt says that by "Classic," he meant that he was trying for a timeless style that wasn't tied down to any one period, Byrne complains, "that is NOT the "classic" Bizarro. The muted costume colors and backwards "S" emblem were a MUCH later addition." But at least he does offer some praise, "Excellent animation, and an interesting approach to the design work."

From the customer's perspective:

I love it. The detail is amazing and Batman is what I would have wanted: Aparo vibe, yellow oval, long ears.

What If...
I was the nitpicky type of customer and asked jb if he could shorten the length of his brief's by about 1/8 of an inch if not that on his left thigh. It seems a bit too long-- as if they would droop if he was standing up straight.
Also, where's he going with that amount of rope? Not too far at all. Could he add more (a lot more) length to that rope he's carrying? I'll buy the fact he's trained his body to physical perfection and can handle his weight when swinging on that type of rope, but given the height he's at I really don't see what that current length of rope can do for him. I don't care if he is the goddamn batman...

I really like it, and I am neither a big Byrne guy nor a Bat guy.

That commission looks fine. I like it... specially the buildings.

JB:
Not so much a question but a request:
Would you share with Greg Kirkham your ability to use your stealth mode of editing your posts? In other words, allow him the privelage to edit his posts without the little "edited by..." at the bottome of his post. The guy edits every 9.5 out of 10 posts and it's quite embarrassing for the guy.

So, assuming Paper's Y-axis were 5' and her X-axis were 2.5' and her z-axis were 0...

If I were standing in front of, or behind paper, could I execute a force on her body? Could I
push her for instance? Or carry her as Rock did? (Is that the right track?)

If I were standing in front of her, am I correct that I could not grab her? For instance, if
I were reaching so my thumb were in front of her and my forefinger behind her, and I brought
the two digits together, would they touch without touching Paper since her z is zero? (This
is just for theoretical fun.)

By those thoughts, am I limited on the type of force I could conduct on her body? For
instance, assuming I could push, normally we would think a pull could be conducted on a
normal object. If I am once again standing in front of Paper, and I reached behind her to
pull her towards me, would my attempt to pull go through her because that is a force more
reliant on depth which is still zero? Would I even have arms left, or would they be lying on
the floor??

Regardless, I'm going to be on for the ride. I just always found superhero physics incredibly
fun to theorize about. She has just such a huge amount of neat potential!

I get the feeling you haven't really been reading the book.

Turns out JB hit the nail on the proverbial head in this case.

Nice try...again.
