I agree. Not too many Islamists reading the JBF I take it.

This is hardly relevant since JB goes to great lengths to find stories (or reasons) to bash Christianity and Christians, so why does he not do this for the other abrahamic faiths?

Mr. Keane: The only religion he goes out of his way to insult and disparage is Christianity (catholics in particular)

Foole: Mind you, I realize he's couching it as a "JB is evil" diatribe, but it's still continuing the discussion.

Lighten up. The vulgarities are oh so sensitive to my young monitor's virtual ears.

Great lengths? Good point! I imagine the ease with which JB puts forth his opinions is derived from years & years of study...just like those that worship the religions JB wants nothing to do with. Oh wait...

Poor Rich Johnston is once again blasted by the JBF in this thread:

http://www.byrnerobotics.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=37285&PN=1&totPosts=20

Byrne explains why he is no longer at Marvel or DC:

"I choose not to work at Marvel or DC because neither company exists today in any form I recognize."

Apparently "any form that I recognize" would be a company that would actually hire him.

Not long ago, Byrne was complaining that his dream project, "Fantastic 4Ever", would never happen because Marvel's current editorial regime was too arrogant to make the move and ask him to do it... even after he very graciously dropped hints on his board that he would be open to the idea. Does he want them to ask him to do something only so that he can turn them down because they "do not exist in any form he recognizes?"

I remember that. He was being extremely obvious with the hints he would be open to the idea. I wonder what really happened? I'll bet it came down to money and what they offered was not in Byrnes ideal range. He probably wanted a piece of the backened that was unreal and selfish.

Well ultimately, I think Byrne has the ability to do work that could still blow people away, but waiting for the two majors to acquiesce to him is pointless.

Create the Byrneverse, make people love his work by doing it.

Why can't we have both? If anyone could handle it, JB can.

Still, times have changed & even though I can't blame JB for his impression of what constitutes both Marvel & DC, expecting the current regimes to come knocking is delusional at best.
