[quote=Paul W. Sondersted, Jr.]It would appear that IDW is preparing JB to work for them for the long haul, so whatever those numbers up there may show...IDW apparently believes in JB.
Some seem to want JB to fail & that's rather unfortunate, but not surprising coming from a few detracting personalities hereabouts.
Based on JB's recent communications at the JBF, there's positive days ahead.
Regardless of the stupidities expressed by a few naysayers, JB provides guaranteed entertainment with his art & stories & I'm glad that he will still be allowed to continue to do so.
It's not a question of stupidities but some of us just don't like his later work.
Then I guess that, in this particular case, you're not one of the few naysayers that I felt the need to mention.
I've read a couple of issues of Cold War - nice art but a forgettable story. So for me he doesn't provide "guaranteed entertainment" so I won't be bothering with Trio at all.
Hmmm. A spy story is very different from a super-hero story, is it not?
Essentially what I am saying is that John Byrne art was at it's best on X-Men and nothing has quite matched it and I never thought Byrne was a great writer either.
That's a very valid opinion that I totally disagree with.
