Hit's shelves in December!

Ugh! Man Of Steel was the first of Byrne's work to leave me disappointed. After that, I really started to find his work going up-and- down. Nothing was outright terrible, but a lot was lackluster and failed to hit the same highs as X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Next Men was probably the last thing I really followed him on and that was just a big snooze. I hung in there issue after issue waiting for some big pay-off that never really came. I'm sure he had a master plan for this series but with the exception of the Sathanas story everything else felt meandering and made up as it went along.

I'll be interested in seeing how this does. Does Next Men really have much of a fan base outside of the JBF? I had thought those telephone books hadn't sold well, why would IDW gamble on this? Have those Star Trek books done well?

His Man of Steel I thought he was firing on all four pistons. Didn't like Giordino's inks over his. But overall I dug his Superman.
His Next Men I didn't care for the characters. I'd rather see him drawing a top tier Marvel or DC character rather than his own stuff. I enjoyed his letter columns much more for what it was in the day. I wonder if he's going to have a letters page again and if Matt Webb will do his colors again. I thought his inks were heavy handed too.

I gave up on NextMen after a couple of arcs, but I'll be buying this new series just because I want to support what I think creators should be doing — working on their own properties.

I would prefer a ROG-2000 series, though.

Which is fucked up because I just watched the original for the first time since I saw it in the theaters 2 nights ago. Synchroncity is strong between me and JB lately.

I watched it for the second time recently, too. Maybe a month or two ago.
