I really enjoy the FF when they are done right, eh is how I describe it otherwise.

Byrne also kicked off a thread devoted to his new issue of Next Men. His first post of course includes a rule on how to particiate:

What's funny is, the review he's railing against is from 2004!

Yeah, he's gets plenty of attention over here, that's for sure, but his whole shtick would no doubt irk the hell out of Byrne, given the chance, and Paul would find himself on the receiving end of all that Byrne reasonable-ness he keeps talking about.

Hard to defend a man who has just called you an idiot, and so Paul's attention-getting avenue would evaporate. Best play it safe and only post when absolutely sure it will get no adverse response.

There were a couple of posts regarding myself at the JBF (one member has since been banned & posts here as Dr. Brian Fever), but it was barely a blip on the radar (Oh woe is me!).

As far as IMWAN goes, they're a bunch of cowards (or at least those with stroke are the cowards) & I wouldn't post there now even if they paid me to. And I imagine it would be very easy to post there if I wasn't pre-banned (or something).

JB once (years ago on AO-HELL)) told me that I was wasting my time debating with such derogatory personalities (paraphrasing, of course). I didn't ask for his input, but I thanked him for his advice nonetheless.

Maybe. Byrne gets irked about a lot of things. But what Paul is doing is lifting phrases and argumentation styles from members of the JBF — from Byrne himself, also — and carrying them over to here as an act to get attention. Paul may actually like Byrne's work, but he more than likely follows it just to keep his act going.

I would hope that would be the case, because if he believes even half the stuff he posts here, he's even stupider than I thought.
