Can you mark up a sketch of where you want the copy to go. And which lines goes where.

Instead of waiting, I could start doing the text layer while allen is inking. Is that still the plan?

I went to the natural history museum today for sketching and inspiration.

if Allen's still game then that is the plan....I have been thinking of where the text goes...so maybe I could break out the "red pen" and suggest a few areas?

Ok...so the progress so far from the last time?

well here's the story:

So, I left my comic page sitting on my desk with one panel left to finish. Who decides to jump in my chair and finish it for me? My son, Logan. So in celebration of Logan's first comics work I've scanned the page and his last panel contribution! I can't bring myself to erase it, so I'll pencil over the lines, and keep them in!

Trace the shape of the panel onto another piece of paper, then draw your panel there. Scan seperately and I'll stitch them together in Photoshop.

I took the page in photoshop after scanning in and whited out the area where my son drew. Then printed it out on white cardstock 8 1/2 x 11.


This is where I'm at so far with the last panel. I'm not feeling it honestly, but time is running out. I don't really care to draw all sorts of background characters again, esp. since it'll prob. get lettered over. So I figured on the left hand side behind Charon, could be a bunch of souls he's already harvested. Maybe the tradition of Charon's bbq is a once a year type of thing? Maybe unpaid debts?

Who knows...



I'm not happy with the kid drawn as he is....but I'm debating on framing him as a zoomed in shot and then blacking out the rest so that way the caption boxes will pop out...as it is, the page has enough detail...so I'm wondering if taking a few shortcuts on the last shot will be a big deal.

Ok, so here are my changes....tell me what you guys think, so I can finally e-mail Allen all of this.

Someone mentioned I should flip the last two images as I was breaking the Z rule. What do you guys think?
