Best wishes to your wife, Joe. So the surgery went well, I take it? Glad to hear that.

Thanks Peter!

Everything went smoothly, but a little slower than expected. Enough to make us all worry all the more the whole time. It's been a few weeks and she's doing very well now, glad to be out of the bedroom. She was going more than a little stir-crazy, stuck in one of the few rooms with an air-conditioner, during the worst of the heatwave.

The first night back from the hospital was pretty rough, (looking back now it was pretty funny) everything went wrong, the dog even got skunked.

Don't worry about me, I only need a day or so with the files. I'm still working on my solo entry too. I wrote my script a few weeks ago. Planned to be done by now, but then my wife was in the hospital. Major surgery. But things are settling down a bit finally and I have a design project I need to work on today, so I won't be starting my page until tomorrow at the earliest. Should be done in plenty of time to do the lettering for the group page.

I don't get it, if you don't "bow out" you're worried there might not be time for the inking and the lettering. But, if you do "bow out" how would there be time to get a new penciller, have him "do his thing" then have time left for the inking and lettering? I don't see that "bowing out" solves anything, it just makes matters worse, this late in the game. Yeah, I don't see any other option here. No sir. You're gonna have to just suck it up, be a man, and do it. grin

It's only one page. You can do it.

Ha, hah. I don't know what you just said Joe, but alright I'll try and knock this out. I'll resume on the page friday night.

Ouch man! I'm sorry to hear this! We only suffered the broken arm and surgery this summer. Sounds like yours was a rough ride. I'm glad y'all are doing better and out of the bedroom....or do you want to go back IN the bedroom, wink

Just talked to Jay...the deadline will most likely get extended to Sept. 15th....sooo..I'm not gonna waste that time, just to let you all know we got a bit of breathing room. I'm going to draw this thing full bleed, since it can be manipulated in a graphics program to the right size specs.

So far I only have two panels drawn that I actually want to keep. I'm going to start on the next stuff..after I set up my desk and big scanner, i'll keep y'all posted on my progress as I am real rusty. This is the only week I really have for a window...so I want to make the most of it and get this to Necro.

I'm still going to try and get it done this week. Better than waiting until the new deadline and not having enough time then...
