Lots of action and chaos, Hunter, I especially like the guy who looks a little like Spain's Trashman, but with Mickey Mouse afros!

I really love that center section, with the three square panels. Lots of energy in the figures.

Hah, thanks Ed! I guess that's my approach chaos and action...with the hope some semblance of sequential understanding comes out of it. (key word, "Hope").

And a comparison to Spain is always flattering!

Thanks, that was my wannabee Mad Magazine and Eisner attempt. It's probably my favorite part of the whole page. I'm working on the first panel now and I cleaned up the 3 inset panels...will probably wait to do those in the next few days.

So hopefully in a couple of hours I will have the whole top half of this page done!

I said a couple hours but I guess I'm faster than I thought. I have to still do the background trees, moss, and grime, but here's how the top half is shaping up. Crit away.

That's looking great, Hunter! I almost wish the tier of three blank panels could stay blank, cause i love the contrast with the busy dance scene behind them. Maybe leave some white space around the panel borders? I dunno if that'll fit into your plan or not, but I'm looking forward to the rest of the page!

You know what Peter? I wondered the very same thing. I'm still not sure...I figured that at the very least...I could make that decision right before I send it off to Allen and erase a border around those panels...

As it is, here's the background...and thanks man.

I guess for context I should reiterate what a few of us were working on!

Here's the poem:
If there is one job I would not desire
It is that of Lord Charon
Who ferries the dead
To the lands of the dead
Where there is fire
And the gnashing of teeth
Rather it would be
Instead
For me,
The ferrying of the living
To the beach
Where there would be dancing
And bbqing of beef

Here's my plot breakdown.

"Charon walks up the shore of the beach, leaving his boat behind.
P.O.V of Charon mostly as he walks towards a large bonfire with multiple partiers.
It’s a rave party and most of the participants are shadowed figures with modern day raver attire, but only a few accessories are actualy drawn in light. Think ipod commercials.
No one seems to notice Charon as he walks amongst the dancers.
Charon walks past the bonfire itself and a particular annoying dancer complete with pacifier in his mouth dances in front of Charon.
Charon touches him on the shoulder, the kid bursts into flames.
Charon walks away, we see a wide bony smile in the darkness of his hood, while the flaming raver falls over dead in front of shocked partiers.
BBQ."

I could use a letterer to put Ness's poem in a series of caption boxes throughout this page. I'm thinking it'd be about six panels.
