Or if even he realizes it's full of potentially actionable libel and lies.

I have a feeling that in the course of this story revealing itself we may learn why DC turned down his request for new work, and why he felt he could handle the business side of publishing comics better than Dark Horse or Top Shelf.

I hope you're wrong, and we don't know the whole story on any of that, but dammit if this isn't starting to stink of someone who doesn't play well with others.

Tell that to my evil-ER twin!

I recall much the same. If he can finish Next Men, I'm sure it wouldn't be a trick to at least have this out there too.
Unless maybe he's illustrating it?

Oy! What an undertaking that would be! I'd still buy it! grin

Sounds familiar. whistle

In any case, sounds like Steve Rude needs to work out some demons. I wish him luck.

Yeah, except Rude has a devoted wife and kids. Byrne didn't even go to his own father's funeral.

Byrne did the art for a collection of PAD columns (and how in holy f*ck did that come to be?) I'm sure illustrations would be included. But prose would be alot quicker. Didn't he say the memoirs he had written were a few hundred thousand words rushed out in two months or so?

I can't recall any sort of "time frame" in which he said he wrote his memoirs. I'd hope he wouldn't "rush" anything when it comes to this type of project.

The PAD collection was Peter David's collection of But I Digress columns (and it was a great read, by the way). JB contributed an image that was placed on the back cover depicting JB himself making use of a paper shredder to destroy But I Digress columns. Hilarious & showed that PAD was a good sport.
