This is going to sound partisan but I voted for Obama in part for his moral stances on Foreign Policy issues. And for the most part, he has done what Bush did, if only a bit better.

Guantanamo Bay, Cuba is a festering boil on the buttocks of humanity. Why can't he just fucking lance it?

Because he doesn't want to let the terrorists go free and he doesn't want to put them in regular prisons in the US.

How do you feel about him passing NNDA and SOPA?

I didn't care for that either. But, if it were wrong for Bush, why does he say well I guess it is ok?

At the mere suggestion of closing the Guantanamo Bay detention facility, Republicans loudly protested that the inmates would not be allowed to be transfered to any prisons in their communities. Dangerous terrorists? Not in my backyard! And no Democrats stepped forward to offer prisons in their districts or states to receive the prisoners.

Despite being a major insult to our highest security prison facilities, what does it say about our good old American prisoners that they aren't considered at least as dangerous as some skinny foreign kids?

But the real and kinda valid concern was, the worry that any prison stateside that accepted Guantanamo detainees, would become a terrorist target, (That way their guys still get their virgins right)?

I know, right.

Gee and I wonder why none of the major news outlets are covering such controversial legislation? Could it be that they are all owned by the very corporations that are sponsoring the damn thing.

They should be covering it just to avoid the appearance of conflict of interest, right? Shouldn't they? Lawson you hate TV news, what do you think?

I've got my own disappointments on Obama's foreign policy.

But I'll give him credit for, finally, bringing to a close our occupation of Iraq. The lives and money we wasted there -- it's absolutely heart-breaking.

Also, we seem to have killed most of the top al-Qaeda leaders, including Osama bin Laden. Whoever remains is running around in the mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan, anxiously scanning the sky for a glint of metal.

You could swap with them. You take Gitmo, the government stuffs all the detainees at your old place.

Gitmo, is a great location, a bit spartan but roomie. A bit of a fixer upper but the views are worth it! The neighbors are another story...

But no more Minnesota winter heating bills!

Win win
