Well, I can honestly say that there are times when I'm not too sure about your intentions (no one can really SEE intentions via the Internet), but usually the context is a giveaway...sometimes! crazy

At the time I posted my dig, I didn't know it was a trade for something else. He has done these detailed drawings for him before as a commission. Looking at the piece of art he traded for, I gotta say I think Warden made out on the deal as I don't share the sentimental reasons Byrne has.

Kirby/Sinnott art goes for high prices, even fairly simple pages like this one. Leaving out his dig at more-detailed-but-slower modern artists, I thought Byrne explained pretty well the appeal of that page.

So throwing a fit and leave every time something that you get hired to do and payed for is not going the way you want it to is the definition of professionalism now? Okay....

You sure did and you were the voice of reason over there. Glad to hear you're still there.

Sadly, yes. And I've seen worse. Much worse. People are acting like the whole world should kiss their ass, and worship the ground they procrastinate on, just for showing up and doing a crappy job.

But there were "mitigating circumstances"...EVERY TIME!!

Don't ask me how George Perez, Alan Davis, and countless others were able to enjoy lengthy careers at both Marvel (M***** for you JBF members!) and DC without these "mitigating circumstances" creeping up. For some reason, Byrne just happens to have been notably unfortunate in that regard.

Unfortunately, Poor John sure hasn't handled his "mitigating circumstances" with that same "maturity" you credit Poor Lars and Fred for showing when they got dumped on.
