No, ONE is a great hilarious movie moment. The other is a, "Heh, that was funny... STUPID, but funny" CGI-generated movie moment.

Like the man said, you're entitled to your opinion.

We'll see how many times one gets referenced vs. the other.

I haven't figured out all the rules, and it's possible I never will, but -- in Allen's mind, I think it is a competition. It all is. Everything that passes before Allen's eyeballs is judged by Allen on its degree of Allen-ness and found either adequate or wanting. If it's found wanting, then it's an affront to Allen-ity and must be cursed to all within Allen-shot.

The fact that a hundred million people are going to enjoy this Avengers movie that Allen dislikes is going to drive him batty. It's already started to, in fact.

Then why don't you enlighten us as to how he was selected? Since they gave the Thor gig to Kenneth Branagh, I suspect there's very little rhyme or reason.

It's obvious why the got Branagh to direct Thor. It's because of his experience directing Shakespeare cos, y'know, like, Thor's got lots of Thees and Thous and Zounds in it so only a proper Shakespearean director could do it justice.

Hey, many people are fascinated by shiny objects. There's no shame in that. Mind you, there should be, but there isn't.

...and Epstein famously once told Buñuel he should lay off the surrealism. A visionary, that Epstein.

Whereas hiring Whedon likely had something to do with handjobs.

Top 100 funny movie moments. Indy and the swordsman will likely make the list every time, probably somewhere near the top. The CGI Hulk-Loki toss-off, not so much.

Oh, and to save me from having to go looking for it, remind the class of your opinion of CGI Yoda-as-Mexican-jumping-bean from the third Star Wars prequel.

My favorite movie of 2011 was Drive Angry. Those French movies sound boring as shit.
