Yeah, as Ceci mentioned, Byrne actually included one of his forum rants in the dialogue of Trio #1, when he put his personal dislike for superhero nicknames into the mouth of a reporter character.

Maybe if the villain turns out to be somebody who makes small mistakes in grammar and spelling, so the heroes will be really justified in beating him down? Or maybe the villain will mock the heroes, saying "your old crimefighting was better?"

We all need an occasional reminder of Lawson's sacrifice for mankind.

Fall From Grace: The Nathen Greno Story

In my best "Coming Attractions/Movie Voice":

First, there was Wayne Osborne. Rich enough to commission a complete 6 issue mini series from the big man himself. But in the end, a tarnished relationship. Enter Aric Shapiro, a lawyer who loves anything Batman from byrne. Banned from the byrne boards only to plead his case to be allowed to post again, but infrequently. A beaten but loyal fan.

Now, in a stunning yet predictable twist of fate, young nathan greno has stepped into the role of learning who the master is by way of a rolled up newspaper to the back of the head. Observe:

John Byrne

By the way, Nathan, as one who has the avatars and other bells and whistles turned off, I'd appreciate it if you didn't "quote" them along with the posts you're excerpting.

Since JB is now posting the specific requests of each commissioner for what they want, I figure I would respond to each commission as if i were the customer:

http://www.byrnerobotics.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=41864&PN=0&TPN=1

Of the three panel spread at the top of the piece, I dislike the middle panel. It has that byrne face that turns me off. Overall though, I'd accept the piece.

Edit Reason: It's times like this I wish i had Byrne's ability to correct grammar and spelling without this fucking reason for edit section

And while I like the webbing under the arms, there are too many lines going both horizontally and vertically. I would still accept it. But I'd stew about it.

If I had enough money to commission art, and liked Byrne's work and liked Spider-man then I have to say I'd probably like the piece. On the other hand, ...
