I fixed it for you.
Although Buffy ran for 7 seasons, I'm not quite sure how you figure that to be a "mild" success He was including "Toy Story" in those 4 seasons.

He didn't establish the film version of the character. Again, she stood mostly silent or kicked things in IM2. And that is bullshit.

Any idiot could have directed it and it would have still been successful. Yep. The work was done by 964 video game programmers in 20 studios.

No, actually you can fuck off. The other series you refer to were all failures. Even Buffy didn't finish.

Although Buffy ran for 7 seasons, I'm not quite sure how you figure that to be a "mild" success. It wasn't on a real network, so the standards for renewal were much lower.

He didn't establish the film version of the character. Again, she stood mostly silent or kicked things in IM2. And that is bullshit. Okay, which scene involved her interrogating someone in IM2? Was there even a scene where she had more than 2 lines? She exists for Downey to crack a few jokes on or to leer at when she isn't fighting. I know evidence isn't your thing, but: The script for IM2 isn't online, however you could compare the 'memorable quotes' from IM2 versus The Avengers on IMDB: Natasha comes up 3 times in the former, 59 in the latter. I mean, you could do this if you had any interest in making a reasonable argument.

No, actually you can fuck off. The other series you refer to were all failures. Even Buffy didn't finish. There's really no need for that. We're having a discussion, just because no one else agrees with you is no reason to get upset. Or maybe it is, but certainly not to the point where you tell one of the few guys on here who doesn't constantly berate you to fuck off. We can either continue having a friendly conversation, or you can start being childish and calling everyone names just because they won't hate the same things you do. If it's the latter, unfortunately I'm not keen and will end our conversation with this post. I hope it's the former, because you can be very intelligent and create interesting discussion, you're even funny sometimes. I enjoy conversing with you, but not if you're going to be rude.

Let me try again.
Why would Justin Theroux have greater creative input on The Avengers than Joss Whedon?
(Yes, I know the answer is that Allen just reached out for any name he could credit over Whedon and Theroux is what he came up with, but I'm interested in what Allen's delusional justification might be.)

Although Buffy ran for 7 seasons, I'm not quite sure how you figure that to be a "mild" success. It wasn't on a real network, so the standards for renewal were much lower. What standards are we talking about? Viewership-wise, Buffy was nothing to write home about. As far as critical praise, it was one of the more lauded programs of its time. It also makes no sense, Allen, to claim that the level of popularity of The Avengers says nothing about its quality but that the level of popularity of Buffy is proof it sucked. Mike
