I see there's apps for digital comics like comixology and DC has there own. I was kind of tempted to try an issue out, but it feels weird to be reading a comic on a smart phone. Yet, I'm find with reading books on it.

I read all my comics on my tablet. That doesn't sound comfortable. I read most of mine on the toilet.

I tried one of those comic reader apps, the one with the new crusaders red circle comics? and yeah, I agree it felt weird reading on the iphone, and I haven't tried books either, but I'm ok with reading news, magazines etc...

I'm an old-fashioned guy. Paper for me.
And yes, often on the toilet.

Some things will never change. Unless they invent an iToilet.

I don't have a tablet or smartphone, and my attempts at reading comics thru internet readers have always disappointed me. My desktop screen just isn't tall enough to show a whole comics page without uncomfortable scrolling around.
I had a subscription to the paper Shonen Jump, which entitled me to a free version of the online Shonen Jump. I've logged onto that maybe twice in the last six months. Instead, I'm buying the collected editions of the few Manga series that I really liked, and I've dropped the others.
There are a few webcomics that I follow semi-regularly, which mostly are formatted to be easy to read on a desktop screen. When they come out with paper versions, I'm often happy to buy them that way, since I still prefer paper over screen.

For me, the fetish value of print comics has all the appeal, not online comics. Your mileage may vary.

I've taken the plunge and am utilizing my Kindle Fire. I'm finding myself very picky on the one's that I do pay to download however, as I haven't actually purchased a comic in ages. Thanks in part to my local libraries for consistently getting new tpb's from a variety of publishers. I bought/downloaded the 3rd and 4th volume of Planetary. I've always wondered how it ended. Great writing, great art. Overall, very satisfied with what I've paid for and how it is presented on my tablet.

I'm checking out the digital comics for the iphone, but the manga ones. They're from independent manga artists but they seem specified for smart phones and tablets because each panel appears instead of an entire page with panels that you have to zoom in and out of.
They have all kinds of quirky stories so that's definitely a breath of fresh air compared to DC and Marvel's digital output.
I don't think I'll embrace DC/Marvel/Image digital comix because if I'm not buying their stuff in the store, why would I buy it on the iphone. Maybe if they do some exclusive stuff that's really different.
