Hello comic and convention fans and friends. I didn't see an "introduce yourself" section so I'll roll the dice and take my chances. I'm DJ Wilde and I'm a writer, illustrator, and big ol fan like the rest of you.

How big a fan? Well, we're saving up (or selling our bodies) to go to Louisiana Comicon where they will have the great Stan Lee attending. That's in November.

I'm a heroclix collector and rarely get to read my favorite comic books anymore (but spy on friends books lol)

I'm a Marvel guy but do like most DC titles too. I like Hellboy and I'm a big ol fan of the movies (Avengers just ruled, thanks!).

But, as I mentioned, I don't just want to come to the conventions as a spectator, but as a creator too. Everyone is invited to check out my universe at their leisure. My first novel is being considered by agents currently. It's a big universe, so be prepared.

I'm hoping that graphic novels may be a possibility, but my hands can't do that much repetetive work (deteriorating medical condition is major part of my challenge). However, if I find the right artist anything is possible.

It's nice to have someone new say hello and introduce himself rather than immediately plug something they're selling, like a Spam-bot.

I hope you get to see Stan Lee at your show this fall. He's not going to be around much longer, I'm afraid.

God, those obituaries are gonna be hilariously dreadful. So many bad writers are gonna slip alliteration and old catch-phrases into their blog posts, while still trying to stay classy and respectful.

To be sure, that will be a mournful day in the industry. I'm not usually interested in standing in long lines for autographs, but this is a special case. Heck my son did a school biography on him. So there's hope and I do hope we get that chance.
