Not as good as the previous movies. Very slow & dull at the start. Got a bit better when we got some action but nowhere as good as Avengers, Captain America, Iron Man etc.
5/10
I only put SPOILERS in the title as a possible warning in case someone (Allen?) put some in.

I'd probably give it a better score than 5/10, but it definitely didn't feel like a 'traditional' superhero movie. The Amazing Spiderman seems to tell the story of the characters first, and then worries about the high flying adventure stuff.
I really liked Stan Lee's cameo, his best yet for my money!

Better than the last one, not as good as the first two Raimi films. It seemed more like a traditional writer's story, rather than a love letter to the comics.

They were going to continue with Spider-man 4 but the film rights were going to revert back to Marvel if they didn't finish it before a certain time. Raimi said he needed more time, but Sony needed it now, so they parted ways, and I believe the most of the actors only wanted to work with Raimi. So they just went with a reboot instead of doing a 4th film with all different faces.

I didn't feel the need for a reboot so soon, but I'm glad they didn't continue the previous franchise. Did anyone have hope for it after Spiderman 3?

This, I would suggest, is not an ideal scenario. Disney should flash the cash and get all the Marvel characters back into the fold.
