Michael Clarke Duncan has died from complications related to a heart attack. I don't think that he had anything to do with Before Watchmen: http://news.yahoo.com/actor-michael-clarke-duncan-dead-54-214440462.html

Who wants to get me started on the Planet of the Apes remake? How about Daredevil?
I was never too impressed with Duncan's movies — sometimes felt like he only got the jobs Tiny Lister and Ving Rhames turned down — but he seemed like a grounded and funny guy. He was one of the guests on Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show week in Scotland earlier in the year. That whole week was really good, well worth seeing if anyone hasn't. I would have never guessed he was having health issues, although I think I remember him mentioning something about being a recent vegetarian convert. As with Peter Steele from Type O Negative, these big guys can go very quickly.

Not only was Duncan an inspired choice for Kingpin, but Ben Affleck is a first-rate actor who deserved an Oscar for the subtle wisdom, courage and gentle humor he brought to the lead role. Go.

Damn, way too young to go like that. Very sorry to hear it.
He always seemed like a decent guy, and a good actor.
I recall a Playboy interview with him from maybe 20 years ago, where they asked him about being with a woman when he was such a big man, and he responded something like "I always treat a woman like cotton candy, like she's delicate, so I don't crush her." So he was a gentleman, as well.

His first screen credit was 1995, so I doubt that was 20 years ago. Probably after The Green Mile in 1999.

I liked him in both Daredevil - worth a watch again, I think - and Green Mile - the parts being greater than the sum.
It is way too young to be dying.

I, too, enjoyed his presence on screen.
